We started to work in the chocolate industry in 2001. Since then, we have built up an extensive knowledge of what makes an excellent quality chocolate bar at an affordable price.
All of our bars are made using Forastero beans, which are known for their sophisticated flavour, with a high cocoa mass content, offering an intense, rich flavour. We conche our bars for a long time, so they are smooth yet delicate. Naturally, the butter we use is 100% cocoa butter and we are proud that our other high quality ingredients - all sourced from sustainable farms.
Finally, of course, all of this takes place in Belgium, which everyone knows is the true home of ultimate chocolate decadence !
Stevia is a natural sweetener extracted from the plant species called Stevia Rebaudiana. It is a completely natural and zero-calorie sweetener that is 200 times sweeter than sugar.
Since c1650, chocolate has been made in Brussels, first as a luxury drink for Kings and Queens. The first bars appeared in c1820, followed by "pralines" - bite sized, filled chocolates in 1857.
